About the Bloomberg Fellows Program
The Bloomberg Fellows Program supports individuals working through organizations that address major public health challenges facing the United States.
Selected fellows receive training at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health while remaining connected to organizations working on these issues.
The programme offers two degree pathways:
• Master of Public Health (MPH)
• Doctor of Public Health (DrPH)
MPH fellows receive full-tuition scholarships to earn the Bloomberg School’s Master of Public Health degree.
DrPH fellows receive full-tuition scholarships each year while pursuing the Doctor of Public Health degree.

Fellowship Commitment
The fellowship connects participants, their organizations, and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Following graduation, MPH fellows work for at least one year for organizations addressing the programme’s public health challenges.
DrPH fellows remain embedded within their organizations throughout their training. After graduation, they also work for at least one year for their organizations.

How to Apply
The Bloomberg Fellows Program uses a two-step application process.
• Step 1: Apply to the MPH or DrPH programme through the Schools of Public Health Application Services (SOPHAS) system.
• Step 2: Complete and submit the Bloomberg Fellows Program Applicant and Collaborating Organization forms.
Applicants therefore need to complete both the relevant Johns Hopkins public health degree application and the fellowship application requirements.

MPH Fellowship Pathway
Bloomberg Fellows pursuing the Master of Public Health receive a full-tuition scholarship for the MPH degree.
After graduation, fellows work for at least one year for organizations addressing relevant public health challenges. Fellows and their organizations also become part of a network of scholars, educators, and practitioners working with public health tools.
DrPH Fellowship Pathway
Bloomberg Fellows pursuing the Doctor of Public Health receive full-tuition scholarships each year.
During their training, DrPH fellows remain embedded within their organizations. After graduation, they work for at least one year for their organizations and join the wider fellowship network.
