About the Neukom Postdoctoral Fellows
Neukom Fellows are interdisciplinary positions for recent PhDs whose research interests or practice cross traditional disciplinary boundaries.
The applicant’s work must have a computational component. Computation may serve as a framing concept for intellectual exploration or form an explicit part of the proposed work.
Successful candidates should have a record of collaborative work across disciplines while also demonstrating independence and initiative.

Fellowship Structure
The fellowship is a two-year appointment. Fellows may request a third year.
Neukom Fellows are mentored by faculty members from two departments at Dartmouth College. Each fellow takes up residence in one department.
During the fellowship, participants teach one seminar course each year on a subject of their interest.
Apart from travel for research and conferences, fellows are expected to remain in residence at Dartmouth. The programme states that there are no additional duties.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Hold a PhD in any discipline, DMA, or MFA, or expect to receive the qualification by September 2027.
• Have research interests that strongly intersect with the theme of computation.
• Demonstrate an interest in multidisciplinary research.
• Show evidence of an ability to think outside traditional paradigms.

• Statement of research interests of no more than two pages
• A short description of the research the applicant would like to pursue as a Neukom Fellow

• Explanation of how engagement with multiple departments would strengthen the proposed work
• Details of three referees who can provide recommendation letters addressing the aims of the fellowship
Applicants provide the referees’ email addresses through the application system. Referees then receive an email allowing them to upload their letters directly.
