About the NTU AI-for-X Postdoctoral Fellowship
The NTU AI-for-X Postdoctoral Fellowship, or AI4X-PDF, supports researchers working at the intersection of artificial intelligence and STEM.
The programme focuses on using AI to accelerate scientific discovery across science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine.
Selected awardees are co-funded by the NRF Postdoctoral Award under this framework.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
• Hold a PhD or equivalent degree in a STEM field.
• The PhD or equivalent must have been conferred within the past three years, in 2023 or later.
• Have a strong academic and research record.
• Submit a compelling research proposal that clearly integrates AI to solve a scientific problem.
• Identify an NTU faculty member who will serve as Project Mentor.
• Be available to commence the fellowship by 31 March 2027.
Mentorship
Each selected fellow will be paired with two mentors.
The fellow will have:
✓ A Project Mentor working in the fellow’s research field
✓ An AI Mentor who supports AI integration
The AI Mentor may be assigned or selected after the award.

Required Documents
Applicants must prepare the following materials:
• Cover letter
• Comprehensive CV with Scopus Author ID and full publication list
• Official transcript or PhD Degree Certificate in English
• Research proposal of no more than two pages
• Contact information for two referees
• Top three publications in PDF format
• Project Mentor’s support letter
One of the two referees must be the applicant’s PhD supervisor.
Applicants should ensure that both referees have agreed to provide reports before submitting the application. NTU will contact the referees after the online application is submitted.
The Project Mentor’s support letter must be attached to the research proposal. The two documents should then be uploaded together as a single file in the research proposal section.
