About the George Washington Presidential Library Research Fellowships
The research fellowship program allows selected researchers to conduct focused work at the George Washington Library. The Library is located at George Washington’s Mount Vernon in Virginia, roughly 15 miles south of Washington, D.C.
The fellowship supports research on the early American period. The Library’s research collections contain materials related to the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.

Benefits and Financial Coverage
Financial support depends on the length of the fellowship.

✓ Round-trip airfare or mileage reimbursement for one trip to and from Mount Vernon, up to $1,000

Fellows live in a shared residence, the Richard and Helen DeVos House, located on the Library grounds.

Required Application Materials
