About the Brandtech Group AI for Good Scholarship 2026
The Brandtech Group is working with One Young World to identify five young African leaders using artificial intelligence responsibly. Candidates should have a record of developing impactful and innovative AI solutions in Africa.
Selected scholars will attend the One Young World Summit 2026. The programme aims to elevate young leaders whose work uses AI to address political, economic, social, environmental, or health challenges.
Scholarship Focus Areas
Applicants should lead initiatives with proven impact in one or more of the following areas:
• Using AI to promote sustainability and address climate change
• Using AI to improve education access, learning systems, and productivity
• Using AI to combat misinformation, online hate, and social harm
• Using AI to promote social equity
• Using AI to improve healthcare access and address health inequality
• Using AI to support mental well-being
• Using AI to strengthen active citizen engagement
Applications may also be considered when the applicant’s work does not fit these pillars exactly, provided AI is used positively and responsibly.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
• Be aged 18–30 at the time of the One Young World Summit 2026
• Be a national and resident of an African country
• Have demonstrated AI solutions in Africa
• Show leadership capacity and support the responsible use of AI
• Have a record of producing impactful and innovative AI-based solutions
• Understand key local or global issues
• Be willing to engage with other scholarship recipients
• Be willing to engage with Brandtech Group staff and management attending the Summit
Applicants who will be under 18 at the time of the Summit cannot apply. One Young World may consider candidates older than 30 when they demonstrate appropriate personal impact, initiative, and willingness to engage.
