About the Google Africa Applied AI Lab

The Google Africa Applied AI Lab is based at the Accra AI Community Centre in Ghana. It supports founders from across Africa who want to use the latest AI research to solve real-world African challenges.

The initiative is designed as a zero-to-one commercialization platform. It aims to bridge the gap between foundational research and market-ready products.

The programme focuses on five technological futures:

• Future of work
• Knowledge
