The internship role supports a range of tasks related to executive coordination and knowledge and information management. The intern is expected to conduct research, organize and develop systems for knowledge management, and support the Front Office in compiling and drafting briefings, documents, and background notes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Specialist and Front Office with research and background documents for external engagements
• Compile and summarize key results and engagement outcomes for documentation and record keeping
• Support Front Office colleagues in streamlining knowledge management efforts and systems
• Gather information on requirements and prepare guidance material
• Carry out other tasks related to executive coordination as needed

Eligibility Requirements

• Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or Ph.D. degree programme, or have graduated within the past two years
• Have an undergraduate degree in Law, International Relations, Politics, Communications, Management, or specialized areas of UNICEF’s work
• Postgraduate degree or enrollment in a postgraduate programme is desirable but not essential
• Have 6 months to 1 year of work experience in project management, support to a senior organizational leader, communications and writing, or knowledge/data management/documentation

Skills and Language

• Strong communication and drafting or writing skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to produce quality work under pressure and maintain discretion
• Good judgment, initiative, and analytical ability
• Familiarity or experience with knowledge management and SharePoint sites is desirable
• Fluency in written and spoken English
