Study Scholarships in Romania for Foreign Citizens 2026–2027

About the Scholarships
ARICE has announced the file selection process for 40 scholarships offered by the Romanian state. The scholarships are intended for foreign citizens who wish to study in Romania during the 2026–2027 academic year.
Applications are accepted between 11 May and 12 June 2026. Candidates must follow the published procedure and submit their files within the specified period.
How to Submit an Application
Candidates must send their application files electronically. The submission requirements are:
• Scan the application documents.
• Save and submit the files only in PDF format.
• Send the application file to burse2026@arice.gov.ro.
• Submit the complete file by 12 June 2026 at 14:00 Romanian time.
Only selected candidates will need to present their original documents to the educational institutions where they will study.
Selection Process
The ARICE Selection Committee will assess candidates based on the documents included in their files. The committee will complete this intermediate selection stage no later than 15 September 2026.
The intermediate results will be published on the ARICE website in the Scholarships section. Afterward, the Ministry of Education and Research will make the final decision based on its own selection criteria.
Final results will be published on the ARICE website. Selected candidates will also receive the results by email.
The Ministry of Education and Research, through the General Directorate for International Relations and European Affairs, will issue acceptance letters or enrollment orders before the start of the 2026–2027 academic year.
Important Deadline
Incomplete files will not be considered. Applications submitted after 12 June 2026 at 14:00 Romanian time will also be rejected.
