About the Claude Corps Fellowship
Claude Corps is designed to bring early-career talent and mission-driven organizations together. Fellows work inside host organizations and help build AI tools, systems, and workflows that support the organization’s mission.
Anthropic funds the programme, leads the overall strategy, and provides Claude expertise. CodePath recruits, trains, and employs fellows as the employer of record. Social Finance administers the programme’s philanthropic capital and leads measurement and evaluation.
The first cohort will place approximately 100 fellows at host organizations across the United States starting in October 2026. The full programme aims to place 1,000 fellows across three cohorts.

What Fellows Will Do
Fellows work full-time at a host organization for one year. They help define, build, and improve AI-related tools and systems that respond to the organization’s needs.
Typical work may include:
• Understanding host organization needs
• Scoping projects with clear outcomes
• Building solutions with Claude
• Creating agents, automations, internal tools, integrations, or evaluation systems
• Running training for technical and non-technical teams
• Helping colleagues use AI tools responsibly
• Documenting and handing off work clearly
Fellows work on site at their host organization for Cohort 1. Future cohorts will include hybrid and remote options.
Eligibility Criteria
Claude Corps is open to early-career applicants who meet the official requirements.
Applicants must:
• Be 18 or older
• Have under two years of full-time work experience
• Be authorized to work in the United States
• Already use AI tools in day-to-day life or work
• Have taken concrete action on a cause, community, or problem they care about
• Be willing to relocate to a host organization if needed
There is no minimum education requirement. Applicants do not need a college degree, technical education, formal AI training, or coding background.
Work Authorization Requirement
Fellows must already hold U.S. work authorization that does not depend on employer sponsorship or support.
Claude Corps does not offer visa sponsorship. Work authorization must remain valid for the full 12-month fellowship.
Authorization tied to student visa status and statuses requiring employer involvement do not qualify.

The programme is not looking for specific credentials. It focuses on practical AI comfort, learning ability, communication, self-direction, and demonstrated drive for societal impact.
Training and Fellowship Structure
The fellowship begins with an intensive training bootcamp. During the first week, Cohort 1 fellows and host organization representatives attend base camp in San Francisco.
Base camp is a mandatory on-site orientation and training week. It covers Claude training, working with host organization teams, and professional skills for the fellowship year.
After placement, about five hours each week are dedicated to structured training and professional development. The rest of the time is focused on project work at the host organization.
Application Requirements
The application includes background information, written responses, and completion of required AI training modules.

Completion of both AI Fluency and Claude 101 is required. Proof of completion must be submitted with the application.
Written Questions
The official application includes short written questions.
Applicants are asked to write about:
• Something they have done that made a real difference for a community
• A time something went wrong, what they learned, and how it changed how they think or work
Each written response must be 350 words or less.

Selection Process
The selection process includes several stages.
The process may include:

• Practical take-home assessment
• 25-minute conversation
• Final-round Super Day with two one-to-one conversations
If selected, fellows interview with two to three host organizations. Matching is based on project fit, geographic proximity, and mutual interest.

The application deadline for Cohort 1 is July 17, 2026. Applicants who apply after the Cohort 1 deadline will be considered for upcoming cohorts taking place in January 2027 and August 2027.
