Eligibility for Charles Wallace Pakistan Visiting Fellowship 2026-27

Applicants must meet the following conditions:
• Be a Pakistani national residing in Pakistan
• Be aged between 30 and 55
• Present a written invitation from a UK institution or arts body
• Normally hold a doctoral degree if proposing research in a UK university
• Apply only in the eligible subject areas
• Not have studied in the UK, US, Canada, Australia, Europe, or China within the last 5 years
• Not be a previous beneficiary of a Charles Wallace award
• Not use AI tools to draft or improve support statements, as AI-generated applications may be disqualified

How to Apply

Applicants must first contact prospective UK host institutions on their own and secure clear evidence of invitation. Then they must complete the online application form, download a copy after submission, and email the completed form to cwpt@britishcouncil.org.pk by Friday, 5 June 2026, along with the letter of invitation and a CV that includes a photograph. Hard-copy applications and incomplete applications will not be processed.

Selection and Timeline

Short-listed candidates will be invited to an interview, either in person or online, in late June or early July 2026. Successful candidates will be able to begin their awards from September 2026 onwards.
