The China Youth Summit 2026 is an international youth leadership program in Shenzhen, China. Organized by Youth Break the Boundaries, the summit brings young people together through leadership sessions, innovation challenges, cultural exchange, and project-based collaboration.
China Youth Summit 2026 Overview
China Youth Summit is built around the theme “Empowering Youth Leadership Through Innovation and Technology for a Sustainable Future.” The program focuses on helping young delegates explore ideas, exchange perspectives, and develop practical solutions for real-world challenges.
A key part of the summit is the Innovative Project Competition. Delegates work in multicultural teams and design projects linked to selected United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The listed focus areas are SDG 4, SDG 8, SDG 9, SDG 11, and SDG 16.
Program Activities
The summit schedule includes airport assistance, registration, opening ceremony, gala dinner, city tour, university visit, project group presentations, awarding and cultural night, closing ceremony, certificate claims, hotel check-out, and airport assistance. The agenda is marked as tentative and subject to change.
The main event will take place from 9 November 2026 to 12 November 2026 in Shenzhen. In addition, mentoring sessions for delegates are listed from 20 July 2026 to 8 November 2026.

For selected fully funded delegates, the guidebook states that the benefits include airport transfer, hotel, seminar kit, meals, and transportation during the event. However, airplane tickets and visa are not included. Visa and personal expenses are also listed as not included for all participants.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following registration eligibility rules:
• Be between 15 and 40 years old
• Be open to all nationalities and academic backgrounds
• Have never been convicted of a crime
• Not be affiliated with any extremist organization
• No IELTS or TOEFL is required
Registration Options
Applicants may choose either the Fully Funded Scheme or the Self-Funded Scheme.
• The Fully Funded Scheme uses a competitive selection process. It includes the registration form, required documents, essay submission, and interview assessment.
• Fully funded delegates are not required to pay the program fee if selected. However, they must pay the USD 10 registration fee.
• The Self-Funded Scheme is for applicants who prefer to skip the competitive selection process and secure participation directly.
• Self-funded participants pay the USD 15 registration fee and program fee according to the payment schedule.
The guidebook also states that fully funded applicants who request visa-supporting documents before the interview stage or interview announcement must pay Program Fee Batch 1 for document processing and administrative support. If selected as fully funded delegates, they will receive reimbursement according to the stated system.
Application Process
Applicants should register through the official website or the official registration page. First, they choose the registration type. Then, they create an account with their full name, active email address, and password.
After signing in, applicants check their dashboard and complete the submission form. The form includes personal details, professional profile, entry information, and miscellaneous sections. The miscellaneous section includes essay upload and theme selection. Finally, applicants review the form, complete payment if applicable, and submit the registration.
Fully Funded Selection Process
Fully funded registration is limited and competitive. The official timeline states that selection is based on essay quality and interview results.
The interview announcement for fully funded candidates is scheduled from 10 August 2026 to 20 August 2026. The interview period is listed from 21 August 2026 to 31 August 2026. The final announcement for fully funded participants is scheduled from 10 September 2026 to 15 September 2026.
A Letter of Acceptance confirms that a form has been verified and accepted. For self-funded participants, the LoA confirms that registration is complete and valid. For fully funded applicants, the LoA does not yet mean acceptance as a fully funded delegate. It means the application has passed the first review and will proceed to essay review and interview selection.
