The CGI Scholarship 2027 is offered by the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute for eligible international applicants who want to pursue Master’s degree study in selected science fields. The scholarship covers major academic and living-related costs, including tuition and other academic fees, round trip airfare, accommodation, monthly stipend, health insurance, and more.

CGI Scholarship 2027 Overview

Chulabhorn Graduate Institute is a multidisciplinary post-graduate academic institute established in 2005. It was founded under the initiative of Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana. The institute uses interactive teaching techniques from leading educational and research institutions. Its aim is to produce effective thinkers and leaders who can serve their countries’ needs toward sustainable development.

CGI currently offers Master’s degree programs in Applied Biological Sciences: Environmental Health, Environmental Toxicology, and Chemical Sciences. Therefore, the scholarship is aimed at applicants with strong academic and research backgrounds in relevant scientific fields.

Award Period

The scholarship covers six-week refresher courses followed by two years of Master’s degree study. However, the award remains subject to an annual review of the scholar’s satisfactory progress.

CGI also reserves the right to terminate the scholarship if a student’s performance does not meet the required criteria or if the awardee does not follow CGI rules. The refresher courses are tentatively scheduled to start in June 2027, while the academic program is expected to begin in August 2027.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be under 30 years of age, with no exemption
• Hold a Bachelor degree with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75
• Have a degree in Sciences, including Chemistry, Biology, Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, or Environmental Sciences
• Applicants from Medical Sciences, including Medicine and Medical Technology, may apply
• Applicants from Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences may apply
• Applicants from other related fields are also welcome
• Have experience in scientific laboratory research
• Demonstrate English proficiency, preferably through TOEFL, IELTS, a university letter confirming English as the medium of instruction, or other specified proof
• Provide a statement of purpose explaining their interest in the study

Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following documents with the application form:

• Full academic transcript at undergraduate level or higher
• Three recommendation letters
• Statement of purpose explaining interest in the study
• Medical history report
• Other supporting documents to facilitate application screening

CGI states that it has no policy to return any document submitted for the scholarship.

Application Process

Applicants who are citizens of Colombo Plan current member countries must complete the CGI Scholarship Application Form through the specific web link provided for that group. Meanwhile, applicants from other countries must complete the CGI Scholarship Application Form through the separate web link provided for other countries.

CGI also states that applications will not be considered unless the application form and supporting documents are submitted according to the application procedure through the relevant web link.

Deadline and Result Notification

Applications for the CGI Post-Graduate Scholarship Program open on 15 May 2026 and close on 31 August 2026. Successful applicants will be notified of the outcome by CGI around January 2027.
