Singapore Asia Journalism Fellowship 2026 is a fully funded, all-expenses-covered program for applicants currently living in Asia. It brings together journalists from across the region for an eight-week professional and cultural exchange, and it is hosted by the Institute of Policy Studies at the National University of Singapore in partnership with Temasek Foundation.

Singapore Asia Journalism Fellowship 2026 Overview

The Singapore Asia Journalism Fellowship 2026 is a mid-career program for journalists in Asia. Since 2009, it has gathered media professionals from different Asian countries to exchange ideas, improve journalism skills, and discuss regional challenges. The 2026 edition combines four weeks of online sessions with four weeks in Singapore. Participants will take part in workshops, seminars, field visits, and peer-learning activities.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Singapore Asia Journalism Fellowship 2026, applicants must:

• Have at least 5 years of professional journalism experience
• Be working full-time as a journalist in Asia
• Be comfortable in spoken and written English
• Obtain an employer support letter if employed
• Be available for the full 8-week fellowship
• Be a freelancer only if journalism is the primary source of income
• Be among the applicants currently living in Asia
• Be from Asian media organizations, which are encouraged to apply
