The Maitri Fellowships Program 2026 is an international fellowship initiative promoting research exchange and collaboration between Australia and India. Fellowship Streams and Duration
The program offers three fellowship types:
● Inward Fellowships – Indian researchers and senior research fellows collaborate with Australian host organisations for up to 12 months.
● Outbound Fellowships – Australian senior researchers conduct research with Indian organisations for up to 12 months.
● Two-Way Fellowships – Joint collaborations where Australian and Indian fellows work across both countries for up to 2 years.
