About the NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship 2027–2028

The NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship supports doctoral students conducting research relevant to accelerated computing and NVIDIA’s research priorities.

The programme connects academic researchers with NVIDIA’s technical expertise and research environment. It supports PhD students whose work could contribute to developments in GPU technology, computing systems, artificial intelligence, and related fields.

Selected fellows receive financial support administered through their universities. They also collaborate with NVIDIA researchers and complete a required in-person summer internship before the fellowship award year begins.

The fellowship encourages research that could influence the design, performance, or use of future GPUs.

NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship Benefits and Financial Coverage

The NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship provides financial support alongside research collaboration and professional development opportunities.

Confirmed benefits include:

✓ Research funding of up to $60,000 per award

✓ Support for university stipend costs

✓ Support for tuition fees

✓ Support for mandatory university fees

✓ Research collaboration with NVIDIA researchers

✓ Opportunities to work with NVIDIA technology

✓ Required in-person summer internship at an eligible NVIDIA research office

✓ Opportunity to present research at GTC San Jose

How the Funding Works

The fellowship award is administered through the recipient’s university rather than paid directly to the student.

The award amount depends on the student’s actual stipend, tuition, and mandatory university fees.

Universities must use the funding to support the fellow’s research. The award cannot exceed the eligible expenses and cannot be transferred to another student.
