About the UNDP Communications and Programmes Internship 2026
The Malaysia-UN SDG Trust Fund is a partnership between the United Nations in Malaysia and MySDG Foundation. It is supported by the Ministry of Finance.
The Fund aims to encourage projects that make a positive impact on the Sustainable Development Goals in Malaysia. The Fund Secretariat operates under the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator.
The Communications and Programmes Intern will work closely with the Fund Secretariat team. The intern will provide support for communications, monitoring, and evaluation efforts.
Internship Responsibilities
The intern will assist with duties that include:
• Developing content for the Fund to be shared on social media platforms
• Supporting the preparation of other promotional materials
• Contributing to communications activities
• Supporting monitoring and evaluation efforts
Monthly Stipend
The Malaysia-UN SDG Trust Fund will provide the selected intern with:
✓ A monthly stipend of RM637.50
The stipend will be provided in accordance with the provisions of the UNDP Internship Policy.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet one of the following education requirements:
• Be currently enrolled in the final year of a bachelor’s degree.
• Have graduated no longer than one year ago from a bachelor’s degree or equivalent studies.
• Be enrolled in a placement year, industrial placement, sandwich placement, or traineeship programme and undertake the internship as part of that programme.
Applicants from all academic backgrounds are welcome. However, preference will be given to candidates with backgrounds in:
• Mass communication
• Public relations
• Journalism
• Marketing
• Graphic design
• Media studies
• Equivalent fields
Language Requirements
Applicants must have working competencies in:
• Bahasa Malaysia
• English
Technical Skills
Applicants should have the following skills:
• Knowledge and proficient use of Microsoft Office productivity tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
• Knowledge and use of design tools, including Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in shooting videos and using editing software, such as CapCut
Internship Conditions
Interns must provide proof of enrollment in a health insurance plan. Interns are not staff members and may not represent the United Nations in an official capacity.
