The 2026 NGO Fellowship Program is an on-site fellowship in Taiwan for NGO professionals who want to strengthen their community impact through practical placement, workshops, site visits, and professional exchange. In addition, the program brings fellows together with Taiwanese NGOs for hands-on work and future cooperation planning.
2026 NGO Fellowship Program Overview
Taiwan AID says the fellowship is designed for NGO professionals who are passionate about making an impact on the community. The program combines work placement with Taiwanese NGOs, workshops, peer exchange, and engagement with expert NGO professionals in Taiwan.
Fellows will be placed in Taiwanese NGOs according to their professional backgrounds. They will take part in daily operations for three weeks and may work on event preparation, project management, or fundraising activities, depending on the nature of the host NGO.

The workshops focus on project management, fundraising, and advocacy. Meanwhile, the roundtable allows fellows and Taiwanese NGO professionals to share practical experience and current field observations together.
Eligibility for the 2026 NGO Fellowship Program
Applicants must be NGO professionals working in one of these areas: community development, environment, education, women’s rights, civic engagement and human rights, emergency relief, disability inclusion, children and families welfare, or social innovation and entrepreneurship. Taiwan AID also states that outstanding applicants from other fields will be considered.
Applicants must also meet these conditions:
• At least three years of work experience in the NGO sector
• Demonstrated professional excellence
• Independent and self-motivated
• Able to complete an independent fellowship
• Aged 25 to 40
• Proficiency in written and oral English
• Mandarin fluency is a plus
• Fully on-site participation is required
Country of origin is listed as follows:
• Southeast Asia: Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Leste Timor, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam
• South Asia: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Pakistan
• Northeast Asia: Japan, South Korea, Mongolia
• Pacific Islands: Palau, Marshall Islands, Tuvalu

Tentative Program Schedule
• 4 October: Taipei arrival
