Internship Benefits

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold nationality of a CERN Member State or Associate Member State
  • Have completed at least 18 months (three semesters) of undergraduate or master’s studies at the time of selection
  • Remain enrolled as a full-time student for the entire internship period
  • Possess a working knowledge of English or French for effective communication at CERN

Fields of Internship
Technical students may be placed in areas including applied physics, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, general or civil engineering, materials and surface sciences, as well as IT, mathematics, and robotics.

Internship Duration
The programme lasts between 4 and 12 months, depending on the assigned project and agreement with CERN supervisors.
